Purpose of the Activity

This activity is designed to provide a meaningful and engaging vocational task that supports resident well-being in several ways:
- Cognitive Function: Encourages skills like sorting, matching, categorizing, and decision-making.
- Fine Motor Skills: Promotes hand-eye coordination, grasping, and pinching motions as residents handle various supplies.
- Sense of Purpose: Tapping into past work-related roles can provide a sense of accomplishment, competence, and familiarity. The task of organizing and tidying is inherently satisfying.
- Emotional Well-being: The repetitive, structured nature of sorting can reduce anxiety and provide a calming, focused experience for residents.
