Our second guest expert, a long-time resident or local author, will discuss how family life has evolved in our town over the decades. We will then practice connecting history to our own lives by sharing brief stories or memories prompted by a large map of the town, learning how our personal journeys are part of the larger community story.
Purpose of the Activity
This activity is designed to foster a powerful sense of community and shared identity among residents. By blending local history with personal storytelling, we validate each individual's life experience as a vital part of the town's larger narrative. The purpose is to encourage reminiscence, promote active listening, and build deeper social connections as residents discover surprising and meaningful overlaps in their personal journeys.
