Provide residents with common household items (e.g., paper clips, rubber bands, spoons) and challenge them to brainstorm and create new, humorous, or wildly impractical uses for them. This fosters creative problem-solving, encourages playful interaction, and leads to lots of laughter at the ingenious – or ridiculous – inventions.
Purpose of the Activity
The Inventors' Workshop is designed to be more than just a craft session; it is a lively social event that stimulates the mind and sparks joy. The primary goals are to encourage creative thinking and out-of-the-box problem-solving in a fun, pressure-free environment. This activity promotes social connection as residents collaborate, share ideas, and laugh together. It also provides light engagement for fine motor skills and boosts self-esteem by celebrating every unique idea, no matter how silly.
