Purpose of the Activity

Tech Search is designed to be a fun and engaging mental exercise. This activity helps stimulate cognitive functions like memory recall, problem-solving, and vocabulary skills. By working on a technology-themed puzzle, residents can learn new terms in a low-pressure setting, share their own experiences with modern gadgets, and feel more connected to the world around them. It is a wonderful opportunity for social interaction and collaborative thinking.

Materials Needed

- Tech-themed Crossword Puzzles: One for each participant. You can create these online using a free puzzle generator or find pre-made puzzles.
- Pencils with Erasers: Ensure there are plenty for everyone.
- Answer Key: One copy for the activity leader.
- Optional Items:
- Large-print versions of the puzzle for those with visual impairments.
- A whiteboard or large easel paper to display the puzzle for the whole group.
- Dry-erase markers or felt-tip pens.
- Clipboards to provide a sturdy writing surface.
- Magnifying glasses.
